Vietnam was estimated to have earned US$72 million from goods shipments to Iraq in the first quarter of this year, an on-year increase of 37.5 per cent, said Vietnamese Trade Counselor in Egypt, Dang Ngoc Quang.

Rice, milk, apparel, footwear and seafood are the country’s main exports to Iraq during the period.

Iraq will have great demand for imports as it is now in the process of national reconstruction and stabilization, said the trade counselor, adding that Vietnamese businesses who had set up relations with Iraq previously should re-establish distribution channels and seek partners in Iraq. (VOV)
