Vietnam's exports growth to the U.S. market are forecast to slow to 5.8 per cent to reach US$12.7 billion this year, compared with US$12 billion in 2008, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Slower exports growth is attributed to current global downturn, the ministry said.

The Southeast Asian country targets to ship US$14.2 billion, up 11.8 per cent from 2009, the ministry forecast.
