Hanoi Jun CPI Likely +0.91 per cent On Month, +11.86 per cent On Year

Consumer price index of Vietnam’s capital city of Hanoi in June is estimated to have soared 0.91 per cent on month and risen 11.86 per cent on year, according to the city’s statistics department.
 
In the first half, CPI is estimated to have risen 2.51 per cent and forecast to ease in the coming months, the department noted.
 
In June on month base, prices of ten commodities surged, led by food and foodstuff with growth of 18.52 per cent, followed by fuel and housing with a rise of 1.5 per cent while transport and telecom was down 2.5 per cent, it added.
 
The government’s stimulus packages worth up US$8 billion is helping spur the economy, state media said. (News, Vietnam Economic Times)
