Vietnam Jan-May Exports to Germany Down 8.9 per cent to US$737.66M

Vietnam reportedly fetched US$737.66 million from exporting goods to Germany in the first five months of this year, down 8.9 per cent on-year, the Ministry of Industry and Trade said on its Website July 22.
 
Garments and textiles topped the list with US$146.051 million, up 3.3 per cent on-year, making up 19.7 per cent of the country’s total export turnover to Germany during the period.
 
It was followed by footwear with US$122.433 million, coffee with 70,418 tons worth US$105.809 million, seafood at US$75.737 million, wood furniture at US$39.008 million, and means of transport items such as motorbikes and spare parts worth US$36.051 million.
 
Trade between Vietnam and Germany reached US$3.2 billion last year, including US$2 billion worth of Vietnamese exports, up 11.7 per cent on-year. (Vinanet)
