PetroVietnam Produces 14 Million Tons of Crude Oil in Jan-Oct

The state-owned Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam) produced a total of 14 million tons of crude oil in the first ten months of this year.
 
The group also produced 6.5 billion cubic meters of natural gas in the ten-month period, said PetroVietnam Deputy General Director Le Minh Hong.
 
Earlier, PetroVietnam Chairman Dinh La Thang said the group had increased its oil reserves to 67 million tons in Jan-Oct as it has operated an additional three oilfields of Bunga Orkird, Nam Rong-Doi Moi and D30-Malaysia.
 
PetroVietnam will raise its crude oil reserves to 75 million tons this year, Thang noted, adding that the group is upbeat its oil production output for 2009 will hit 16 million tons, surpassing 1% of its full-year plan. (VNA)
