Vietnam Disburses $1.15B for Transport Projects in Jan-Oct: Official

Vietnam disbursed VND20.6 trillion ($1.15 billion) for transport infrastructure projects in the first ten months of this year, up 10% from a year earlier and fulfilling 80% of the full-year target, according to a Ministry of Transport official.
 
This was the highest disbursement level for the past five years, Head of the ministry’s the Quality Control Department Tran Quoc Viet said.
 
The projects included 34 key transport projects, particularly Nhat Tan bridge, the 2nd phase of Ho Chi Minh expressway, Noi Bai-Lao Cai expressway, Ho Chi Minh City- Long Thanh-Dau Giay expressway, Van Phong port, Cai Nui-Can Tho port so far this year.
 
The Transport Ministry expects to disburse VND25.7 trillion for infrastructure projects this year. (Vietnam & World Economy)
