Established in Korean in 1979, Woojin was one of the first specialty buckle and fastener manufacturers in Korea. For over 30 years of operation, Woojin has been the most famous low price plastic buckles and travel accessories supplier in the luggage and bag industry due to its material safety and impressive loading test result.

In pleasing its customers’ requests, in 2003, Woojin officially established a factory in Binh Duong, Vietnam to increase its capacity. This new production facility helps Woojin provide professional and quality buckles and fasteners as well as services to a wide range of customers around the world. Mr. Paik In Ki, General Director of Woojin Vietnam revealed: “At Woojin Vina, we combine 30 years of industry experience and modern facilities. Our quality design and delivery have been well-known. In addition to the wide range of accessories for backpacks and apparel, we also manufacture and develop new products on customers’ demands”. Woojin Vina’s wide range of products include buckles, webbing adjusters, loop & rings, snap hooks, key holders, cord locks and many other special finishes.

The advantage of Woojin Vina is not only a wide range of products, but thanks to modern machinery it also has special finishing (for example fire retardant, water repellent, soil repellent, mildew proof, non-abrasive, IR remission) and strap assemblies (cut pieces, sewing, punching (fastening sets, harnesses, etc.)

In 2006, Woojin Vina proudly received the certification of ISO 9001 for Woojin Vietnam factory. This is considered a milestone for Woojin Vina to step ahead of other competitors. Now Woojin Vina has a monthly capacity of 35.000.000 plastic buckles per month (400 million pieces/year).

Although the global economic downturn in 2009 has caused bad effects on many fields of business in Vietnam, Woojin Vina has still kept its operation process and business in stable condition. “Expenses have been increasing leading to increase of cost of product but we are expecting to get profit at the end of this year. We are proud of our unique team who are encouraged to enter a successful business in the future” shared Mr. Paik In Ki.

Apart from doing business, Woojin Vina has participated in many social activities in the locality. Together with Korea Investment Association, Woojin Vina has has given scholarship to pupils in Dau Tieng District, taken care of handicapped people of Handicapped Centre of Binh Duong, given support to flood victims in Central Vietnam and visited “Que Huong Humanity Centre” a place that is taking care of homeless children, parentless children in Di An District, Binh Duong Province.

The Vietnamese economy is forecasted to recover. With this, Woojin Vina also set up its long –term goal of bringing convenient conditions for vendors in Vietnam including delivery time, competition price, high quality products, etc. However, to reach this goal, Mr. Paik In Ki hopes to be able to buy sub-materials in Vietnam (now almost main and sub-material have to be imported from overseas. At the same time, he also hopes that there will be some maintenance services for moulds available in Vietnam (up to this time, all maintenance mould or upgrading for mould have to be done in Korea). “We hope that our government will set up some policies for some sub-material or main material suppliers in Viet Nam so that we can sell to the local market or export more easily. If there are no sub-material or main-material makers in Viet Nam, this will cause more difficult conditions for final product makers in importation from overseas”, suggested by Mr. Paik In Ki.
