Vietnam PM Allows Hanoi to Appoint Investors for Major Projects

The Vietnamese prime minister has allowed the capital city of Hanoi to appoint investors for major infrastructure projects under the form of Building-Transfer (BT).
 
The projects include roads to connect the inner city and urban areas in Ha Dong district; a road to link Pham Van Dong street to Road 69, a road from Lang-Hoa Lac Expressway to Nhon town and upgrade of National Highway 6.
 
The government leader has also allowed Hanoi to pilot a number of big infrastructure projects under the model of public-private partnership (PPP), including Belt Road 4, elevated roads, upgrade of To Tich River, and Nhat Tan-Noi Bai Expressway.
 
Hanoi plans to disburse VND17.35 trillion ($910.9 million) for infrastructure development projects this year, the newspaper cited the local authorities as saying. (New Hanoi)
