Vietnam Needs $16B for Transport Development Yearly
Vietnam needs $16 billion for infrastructure transport projects a year; however, it can afford half of that figure, according to an official from the Ministry of Transport.
This year Vietnam is forecast to require over VND40 trillion for transport infrastructure projects including VND3 trillion in official development assistance (ODA) and VND12 trillion of government bonds.
Between now and 2020, investment for infrastructure development is forecast to make up just 10%-11% of Vietnam’s GDP. (Vietnam Economic Times)
