S.Korea JOINUS Co to Build $2B Int’l Airport in Vietnam Late 2010
JOINUS Co. Ltd of South Korea will build a $2 billion international airport on Van Don island in northern Vietnam late this year, according to local authorities of Quang Ninh.
The South Korean firm will develop the project on a site of 400 hectares in Doan Ket commune.
The airport is part of a development plan for the Van Don Economic Zone, which was ratified by Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung in July 2007.
The economic zone is expected to attract 40 investment projects with a combined investment capital of $5.15 billion by 2015. (VNA)
