HCM City Licenses 10,200 Enterprises in Jan-April

Ho Chi Minh City licensed 10,200 companies with a combined registered capital of VND77 trillion in the first four months of this year, up 30.51% from a year earlier.
 
Licensed firms mainly specialize in services including trade services, import-export and logistics.
 
During the period, the municipal authority licensed 112 projects valued at US$444 million and allowed to 34 existing projects to add US$82 million, down 21% and 17% on year, respectively.
 
Between January and April, the city disbursed US$1.23 billion in official development assistance (ODA), fulfilling 28% of the whole-year target.
 
This year the city expects to attract US$8.4 billion in FDI, up over four folds than last year’s figures, and disburse US$1.43 billion of that value, up 33.14% on year. (Youth)
