Vietnam to Build Power Lines Linking to Myanmar, Malaysia, Thailand
Vietnam will build power transmission lines linking to Myanmar, Malaysia and Thailand in the next years in order to facilitate electricity trading among these countries, said Minister of Industry and Trade Do Huu Hao.
The minister made the statement on July 14 on the occasion of the 25th anniversary ceremony of Power Engineering Consulting JSC No.2 (PECC2).
Vietnam has built power transmission lines linking to Laos, Cambodia and China.
The country is speeding up preparations for the 28th ASEAN Ministers on Energy Meeting (AMEM 28) entitled “Energy and Climate Change” to take place in the central highlands province of Lam Dong on July 19-23.
The five-day meeting will aim to boost energy cooperation ties among ASEAN member countries. (Young People)
