Vietnam Rubber Export Rises 89% in Jan-Aug
Vietnam is estimated to have earned $1.12 billion from exporting 417,000 tons of rubber in the first eight months of this year, rising 89% in value from a year earlier though the volume was unchanged, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development said.
China remained the largest consumer of Vietnamese rubber, accounting for 56.5% of total value and 68% in volume.
The Vietnam Rubber Group forecast that the country’s rubber export revenues will rise 22.3% from the previous year to nearly $1.5 billion in 2010. (Labor)
