Vietnam Uses 31.25M Tons of Cement in Jan-Aug
Vietnam’s total cement sales rose 7.1% from a year earlier to 31.25 million tons in the first eight months of this year, Vietnam Cement Industry Corporation (Vicem) said.
In August, the country used 3.89 million tons of cement, representing an on-year fall of 0.4%.
Vietnam is forecast to use between 50 million and 51.5 million tons in 2010, up 11% on-year, the Ministry of Industry and Trade said earlier.
The Vietnam Cement Association predicted the country will face a cement surplus of three million tons this year. (Vicem)
