Vietnam 1st Oil Refinery Produces 6.5M Tons of Products so far

Vietnam's first oil refinery Dung Quat has to date refined 7.6 million tons of crude oil into 6.5 million tons of products, said Nguyen Hoai Giang, general director of the plant's operator of Binh Son Refinery and Petrochemical Limited Company (BSR).
 
Of the total, the refinery has sold 6.4 million tons of gasoline A92, gasoline A95, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), kerosene, propylene, FO, DO, jet A1 fuel and polypropylene, said Giang.
 
The US$3.054-billion refinery, located in the central province of Quang Ngai, started operation in Feb 2009 and its capacity has surpassed 5% the designed.
 
The investor Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam) is seeking partners to raise the plant’s capacity to 10 million tons a year from current 6.5 million tons. (People’s Police)
