Vietsovpetro to Produce 6.31M Tons of Crude Oil in 2011
Vietnam-Russia Oil and Gas Joint Venture (Vietsovpetro) expects to produce 6.31 million tons of crude oil next year.
Vietsovpetro has been exploring and producing oil and gas in blocks 09-1, 16-2, 05-2 and 05-3 and conducting seismic surveys in blocks 102-106 and 134-136 offshore Vietnam.
The firm has also signed contracts to explore for and produce oil and gas overseas, including Tunisia, Myanmar, Argentina and Bolivia.
It expects to produce 34 million tons of crude oil in the next five years, including 29.02 million tons from Bach Ho and Rong fields and 4.9 million tons from the block 09-1. (Vietnam Economic Times)
