PetroVietnam Posts Revenues of $23.92B in 2010

The state-run Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam) had revenues of VND478.4 trillion ($23.92 billion) last year, rising 59% from a year earlier, Chairman Dinh La Thang said at an online press conference on Jan 4.
 
The revenues exceeded 45% of the full-year target and accounted for 24% of the country’s gross domestic product.
 
PetroVietnam obtained revenues of VND152.5 trillion from oil and gas services in 2010, rising 58% from 2009 and accounting for 32% of its total revenue.
 
The group’s industrial production value rose 43% on year to VND49.8 trillion last year, exceeding 8% of the year’s projection.
 
PetroVietnam paid taxes of VND128.7 trillion in 2010, up 41% on year, making up 30% of the national state budget revenues, and surpassing 34% of the full-year expectation.
 
The group earned $5.34 billion from exporting 8.68 million tons of crude oil, $3.74 billion from selling the fuel to the national first oil refinery Dung Quat, and $140 million from selling 230,000 tons of crude oil tapped from overseas fields last year.
 
PetroVietnam expects revenues of VND486 trillion and pay taxes of VND101 trillion in 2011.
 
It also aims for revenues of VND3,040 trillion in the 2011-2015 period. (pvn.vn)
