Vietnam to Audit Firms in Banking, Finance Sector in 2011

The State Audit of Vietnam (SAV) plans to conduct 151 audits for enterprises in sectors of banking and finance. As planned, the SAV will check the fiscal reports of 27 economic groups, corporations and commercial banks. 
 
Of which, 15 state groups and corporations are included into the list such as Vietnam Shipbuilding Industry Group (Vinashin), Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) and Vietnam Shipping Lines Corp (Vinalines), Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group (Vinacomin), Bao Viet Group, Vietnam Housing and Urban Development Holdings (HUD) Group, Hanoi Tourism Corp, Saigon Construction Corp and Saigon Beer Alcohol and Beverage Corp (Sabeco).
 
The SAV also plans to make audit in some banks such as Vietnam Commercial Joint Stock Bank for Foreign Trade (Vietcombank-VCB), Vietnam Commercial Joint Stock Bank for Industry and Trade (VietinBank-CTG), and Vietsovpetro Joint Venture Co and Rusvietsovpetro Co Ltd
 
In addition, SAV is scheduled to make five special audits and audit reports on the settlement of 39 construction investment projects including Dung Quat oil refinery project and Thu Thiem Bridge construction project. (VnExpress)
