Real estate is one of the most attractive industries to FDI companies and plays an important role in the country’s economic development. In the current context of international integration, the real estate industry is not out of the orbit of globalisation. Recently, many international real estate brands have arrived in the emerging market of Vietnam, including Coldwell Banker ®.

After a process of concrete and proper negotiations, August 2010, Minh Viet Investment Corporation (MVIC) officially brought the international real estate brand - Coldwell Banker ® - to Vietnam with the official name of Coldwell Banker Vietnam (CBVN). This was a big step to unlock the door to this potential market.

As a full member of Coldwell Banker ® International, CBVN inherited experience and resources from a 104-year-old leading real estate brand in the world and a system of 3,600 independent real estate transaction offices and 97,000 professionals in 50 countries. CBVN is committed to providing creative and unique real estate services of international standards.

To meet the growing demand from customers, in October 2010, CBVN decided to set up its first Mega Office in Vietnam in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. This is the first Mega Office system in Vietnam and the nerve-centre for the nationwide expansion in the coming time. With a world-class management system, CBVN MEGA Office is committed to provide inclusive real estate services and best values for the market, including real estate business development, brokerage, consulting, investment, management, advertising, market research, feasibility study, valuation, and training.
In the next period, CBVN will set up another MEGA Office in Hanoi and Da Nang in an effort to provide high-quality and professional services to the target market. Together with the MEGA Office, CBVN will build a network of franchised transaction office all over the country.

Speaking of this brand development in Vietnam, Mr Jim Gillespie, CEO of Coldwell Banker®, who has more than 32-year experience in global real estate, said: “One of our primary branding objectives is to internationalise. However, we understand that to do business successfully, the owner of the brand in each country must be very experienced and knowledgeable about the market and business laws. We are very impressed with CBVN and hope that they will outstandingly succeed in bringing perfect services to customers to meet the demand of the Vietnamese real estate market in the coming time.”
Mr Brandon Vuong added: "To create a breakthrough for the Vietnamese real estate market, apart from applying Coldwell Banker® global standard system, CBVN will introduce new services and innovative programmes suitable to the Vietnamese business environment. For that reason, CBVN wishes to bring cutting-edge advantages to customers and partners in the Coldwell Banker® system.”

CBVN is now coordinating closely with MVIC for marketing and exclusive distribution of projects invested by MVIC. Typical projects include Tricon Towers (Hanoi), The Bayview Towers (Quang Ninh province) and upcoming Song Ngoc (in Ho Chi Minh City). The close coordination between the investor is the marketing agency will provide most accurate, reliable, and sufficient information about investment projects for customers. This is a new customer-directed business strategy.

Coldwell Banker® is one of the largest real estate brands in the world and is managed by Realogy Corporation (USA). In 2009, its global sales topped US$169 billion. In Vietnam, MVIC becomes the sole franchised agency for Coldwell Banker® brand.
