Work Starts on Song Tranh Hydropower Plant No.4
Construction of the Song Tranh Hydropower Plant No.4 started on April 24 in Que Luu commune, Hiep Duc district, in the central province of Quang Nam.
Capitalised at over VND 1,600 billion (US$77.4 million), the Song Tranh plant is one of 33 hydropower plants in Quang Nam province and falls under the Government’s national plan for electricity development in 2006-2015.
It will have the capacity to provide 196 million KWh of electricity annually to the national grid when it is completed in 2014.
