Phong Nha-Ke Bang Considered for World Natural Heritage Recognition

The National Park Phong Nha-Ke Bang will be considered by new standards for inclusion in the list of World Natural Heritage of Vietnam by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
At the 35th session of the World Heritage Committee of UNESCO organised in Paris, France on June 21, UNESCO Director General Irina Bokova said, the session of the World Heritage Committee also considered the conservation situation of World Heritages that have been included in the World Heritage list and continued to consider other 37 heritages to take on the list.
World Heritages remind the relationship between culture, nature and society and uses huge factor to promote dialogue, reconciliation, development and knowledge.
151 countries in 187 UNESCO Member States now own 704 cultural heritages, 180 natural heritages and 27 natural and cultural heritages.
