The Vietnamese government has decided to recheck available national key projects and construction works to report to the National Assembly for investment policy.

Accordingly, the Prime Minister has issued a dispatch asking ministries, agencies and local authorities to strictly implement the decision. The authorized units all have to report to the Ministry of Planning and Investment, which then will be in charge of summarizing and informing the Prime Minister for the final decision. In parallel, ministries, agencies and localities are requested to continue carrying out current regulations on construction management and investment to ensure progress and effectiveness.
The projects, key national works under Resolution 49/2010/QH12, include those with total registered capital of VND35 trillion and above of which VND11 trillion comes from the state; projects which influence or may have serious effect to the environment such as nuclear power plants, natural reserves, and forests for experimental research with areas of over 50 hectares; and projects using converted land.
