EPC Contract Signed for Nam Con Son Gas Pipeline 2 Project
The PetroVietnam Gas Corporation (PVGAS) recently signed with an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract worth US$441.57 million with the PetroVietnam Construction Corporation (PVC) and the Petroleum Equipment Assembly and Metal Structure Joint Stock Company (PVC-MS) to build a gas processing plant belonging to the Nam Con Son 2 gas pipeline.
The deal includes the construction of GPP2 gas processing plant, gas depots and pipelines. The project is scheduled to be completed by the third quarter of 2013.
The gas plant will take 20 million cubic metres of natural gas per day from Hai Thach - Moc Tinh and Thien Ung - Mang Cau fields in the Nam Con Son basin to process condensate and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). The State-owned Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam) proposed the Ministry of Industry and Trade for permit to build the Nam Con Son 2 gas pipeline.
On the same day, PV GAS, PVC and Phu Long Real Estate Joint Stock Company hosted a ceremony to inaugurate Dragon Tower - an office block - which was built since June 2009 by PVC in Ho Chi Minh City.
