SBV, Hessen Premier of Germany Sign Cooperation Agreement
Governor Nguyen Van Binh of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) and Mr Michael Boddenberg, Hessen Minister of Federal Affairs and Hessen Special Envoy to the German Federal Government, signed an agreement on statistics cooperation between SBV and the Office of the Hessen State Premier in Hanoi.
Addressing the signing ceremony, Governor Nguyen Van Binh spoke highly of the initiative of the Office of Hessen State in holding the meeting and signing the cooperation agreement in order to help the SBV improve the capacity in the field of statistics identified by the SBV as an important premise to support the planning and implementation of monetary policies to enhance the stability of the financial sector. The signing of this agreement is a concrete step in promoting cooperation between the two countries.
Mr Michael Boddenberg said, with the signing of the agreement on statistics cooperation, the Office of Hessen State committed to providing not only scientific knowledge but also technical support to enhance the SBV’s statistics capacity. Mr Michael Boddenberg also expressed his hope that the agreement will create a solid foundation for strengthening cooperation between the two sides in the future.
The SBV is carrying out two cooperation programmes with Germany, namely a cooperation programme with the German Federal Bank (Deutsche Bundesbank) and another with the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ).
