Top amateur golfers aim for top seed at Grand Final of VCCI Golf Challenge 2011

The premier event will see the country’s best amateur golfers who won in the past 4 qualifying rounds in this year - long tournament. Golfers will tee off on 8th October 2011 at Heron Lake Golf Course and Resort, Hanoi in celebration of Entrepreneur Day. This annual golf series is jointly organized by Vietnam Business Forum, a business publication of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), and Tee.It.Up Golf, a division of Salient Media.

Riding on the overwhelming response and success from the four previous qualifying rounds with different industry themes held in various golf clubs throughout Vietnam, amateur golfers will now battle it out for the top seed. Golfers will play alongside VIP guests from government ministries and related agencies, diplomats from various embassies and international organizations in Vietnam. Hosting the VCCI Golf Challenge 2011 Presented by Hanoi Hotel will be Doan Duy Khuong, VCCI Vice President. “In commemoration of Entrepreneur Day, this blue-ribbon tournament aims to connect key players in Vietnam’s economy to establish new business opportunities on the green for the country,” he said.

The presenting sponsor of this year’s Golf Challenge is Hanoi Hotel. Supporting sponsors include Meridian Property, Hong Leong Bank, Hanoi Club, and Gamuda City. Tourism Malaysia will also be sponsoring up to 30 tickets to watch Southeast Asia’s biggest and richest tournament, the CIMB Asia Pacific Classic in Malaysia, which was sanctioned by PGA Tour and Asian Tour, to be held from 27 to 30 October 2011. Among the PGA golfers playing at this event include Camilo 'Spiderman' Villegas, Vijay Singh, Brandt Snedeker.
