Hue Festival 2012 to Be Innovative and Unique

Hue Festival 2012 is scheduled to open in 9 days from April 7, 2012 to April 15, 2012. The festival, themed “Cultural Heritage with Integration and Development - Rendezvous of Historical Cities” coincides with the National Tourism Year 2012.

 

Mr Ngo Hoa, Deputy Chairman of Thua Thien Hue People's Committee, and Head of the Organizing Committee for the Hue Festival 2012, said: Opening, closing ceremonies and other programmes will be innovative, unique and streamlined. Thua Thien - Hue province is completing general plans and contents of events for the Hue Festival 2012.

 

The major events, particularly opening and closing ceremonies, will showcase distinctive music and dance programs, carnivals, religious rituals, traditional cuisine, and performances by famous artists from many countries around the world. Various activities will take place, including the Imperial Night, Oriental Night, Nam Giao Offering Ritual, Ao Dai Fashion Show, installation art displays, a Children's Festival, Hue Poetry Festival, and culinary shows.
