In 2020: Notary Fee for House Leasing Contract Caps at VND8 Mln

The Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Justice recently issued a Joint Circular 08/2012/TTLT-BTC-BTP dated January 19, 2012 on notary fees for land and house leasing transactions. The circular takes effect from March 15, 2012.

Specifically, notary fees for land and house lease contracts are calculated on the contract value (total rents). The fee is VND40,000 for a contract with the value below VND50 million; VND80,000 for a contract valued from VND50 million to under VND100 million; 0.08 percent of the value for a contract with value from VND100 million to under VND1 billion; 0.06 percent of the value for contract with value from VND1 billion to under VND3 billion; VND5 million plus 0.03 percent of the value for a contract with value above VND10 billion. However, the maximum value is limited at VND8 million a contract. Notary fees are lower than previous ones.
