Tea Export to Pakistan Promoted
Vietnam and Pakistan held an online talk on tea trading on March 12 in Hanoi, with the participation of their tea producers and exporters.
Tea prices, quality and payment methods were discussed at the online exchange, which was jointly held by the Africa, West Asia and South Asia Department under the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Vietnamese Trade Mission in Pakistan.
The Department’s representatives said Pakistan is Vietnam’s biggest tea importer, buying a total of 17,582 tons of tea worth US$32 million.
Two-way trade between Vietnam and Pakistan reached US $324 million in 2011, up 33.9% against 2010.
