Southern Fruit Festival 2012 to Open in HCM City
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ho Chi Minh City, in collaboration with Suoi Tien tourist site, will host the Southern Fruit Festival 2012 from June 1 to 23.
The event, which debuted in 2004, has become a popular cultural tourism activity honouring the agricultural values in the southern region in particular and Vietnam in general. The 2012 version is expected to attract regional nations like Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia, Thailand and South Korea.
The inspiring fruit art displays will be once again a place of interest of visitors. Many other arts and cultural events will be opened in connection to the event.
The Southern Fruit Festival 2012 will register the Guinness Record for the category of “most foods made from fruits and biggest fruit size.”
