The exhibition “Everything Forever Now - Design For A Sustainable Future”  presented by the British Embassy and the British Council, opens from 30 March to 20 April 2012 at Exhibition House, 92 Le Thanh Ton, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.

The Everything Forever Now exhibition showcases some of these new approaches and innovations in sustainable design by contemporary designers and architects in the UK.

Through intelligent design, and by utilising new technologies and materials, we can develop sustainable solutions that naturally give back what they take out (or more). This new generation of designers sees the eco-angle as integral. As a result, they are able to pioneer technologies and techniques that promise to change our environment for the better, without preaching or cynically chasing the green pound.

Whether designing for longevity, building self-sufficient communities, improving the efficiency of infrastructures or developing new materials, the new guard of green designers quietly promises one thing: to deepen and improve our relationship with the environment, both now and well into the future.

In recent years there has been a shift in the way that designers approach the idea of sustainable design. Now they view it less as a problem, and more as a fact of life – and certainly as an opportunity to rethink what and how we make things, and how we might go about our lives in a more effective and positive way.
