Rubber Exports See Sharp Price Increase
Vietnam’s export price for natural rubber reached CNY23,400 (US$3,700) per tonne, the highest price so far this year, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
The Chinese market also has a high demand for fresh natural rubber latex from Vietnam, putting thes price at CNY19,500 (US$3,093) per tonne.
Though Vietnam’s output of fresh rubber latex for export is only about 100 tonnes a day, the demand is currently four to five times higher than that amount.
