Seminar on “Creating Opportunities for Seafood to Enter Japan”

The Vietnam Trade Promotion Centre (Vietrade) collaborated with the ASEAN Promotion Centre on Trade, Investment and Tourism (AJC) to organise a conference on “Exporting seafood to Japan - Regulations and market approaches” in Ho Chi Minh City on June 27, 2012.

 

Japanese experts presented seafood food safety requirements; specific requirements for HACCP, GMP and SSOP applications for production and marketing of aquatic products; traceability, irradiation and radiation; technical barriers; current consumer trends and tastes of seafood in Japan; ways to seek customers in Japan; and cultural mannerisms and characteristics of Japanese businesspeople in contract negotiations.
