Government to Raise VND8.1 Trillion in Extra Bond Issue
The Vietnamese Government plans to issue additional bonds worth over VND8.1 trillion (US$388.8 million) during the 2012-2015 period.
According to a new Government decision, the Ministries of Transport, Defence, Health and Agriculture and Rural Development have been assigned to raise VND7 trillion (US$336 million), while eleven provinces have been asked to raise VND1.1 trillion (US$52.8 million).
The above-mentioned ministries aim to raise VND2.8 trillion (US$134.4 million), and the eleven provinces must raise VND338 billion (US$16.2 million) through the sale of Government bonds in 2012.
