Promoting Vietnam - South Korea Ties
The Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency Vietnam (VIETRADE) under the Ministry of Industry and Trade coordinated with the Korean Institute of Design Promotion (KIDP) to organise a seminar entitled “Cooperation, Innovation and Creativity in Design 2012” in Danang City. This was part of “Vietnam-Korea Design Sharing” project.
The seminar drew 200 participants representing design firms in the central region and more than 10 South Korean designers.
Local business representatives and South Korean designers shared their skills, processes and experience in designing packages through brand identity systems and designing products through television advertising skills.
Mr Ta Hoang Linh, Deputy Director of VIETRADE, said design plays important roles in business success in general and export activities in particular. The joint projects between Vietnam and South Korea will offer chances for local design firms to learn from South Korea designers’ experience and knowledge, gradually promoting design and export.
This event also helped Vietnamese businesses to boost designing capacity and enhance competitiveness of Vietnamese exports.
