Reed Tradex’s roadshows in ASEAN excited manufacturers and industrialists in the region with the potential of METALEX 2012 to enhance ASEAN economies, especially with the approach of ASEAN Economic Community (AEC).
The roadshows offered incentives to participate in METALEX and observe more than 4,000 latest machinery and technology from 2,700 leading brands from all over the world, and 10 international pavilions to showcase their specialties.
Mr. Chainarong Limpkittisin, Managing Director, Reed Tradex Company Ltd.,said that roadshows to leading countries of ASEAN i.e. the Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia and Indonesia sponsored by Thailand Exhibition and Convention Bureau (TCEB) was held to invite industrialists to visit METALEX 2012 ASEAN’s largest machinery and technology exhibition which will be held 21 to 24 November 2012 at BITEC, Bangkok. Group visitors of three persons or more are offered special “Be My Guest Campaign” with 2 free room-nights per person, Fast Track services at the Suvarnabhumi airport, free entry to International Forum such as the Machine Tools Summit or // METALEX Nano Forum, andbusiness matchmaking services and plant visit to the Toyota plant. It is believed that the market for machinery and metal working technology in Asia will grow by 20% this year. METALEX is the regional platform that provides opportunities for manufacturers, buyers and sellers from all over ASEAN to meet and discuss potential business.

“Last year METALEX successfully contributed to 6,000 million baht of business in the metal working industry and more than 57,000 visitors. Top 3 visiting countries from ASEAN are Malaysia (332visitors), Singapore (272visitors) and Vietnam (128visitors).
For METALEX 2012, we expect 66,000 visitors to visit the show and for these 3 visiting countries we aim to achieve 50 percent increase in their number of visitors, Malaysia (453 visitors), Singapore (330 visitors) and Vietnam (175 visitors)to visit our show.
