Sweden-funded EBA Projects Announced

The National Biodiversity Conservation Agency under the Vietnam Environment Administration organised a ceremony to announce the project “Integrating ecosystem-based adaptation to climate change to planning biodiversity conservation in Vietnam” (EBA Project) funded by the Swedish Government.

 

The objectives of EBA Project are to establish partnership relations between Vietnamese project management board and relevant organisations with Swedish partners on conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity resources and ecosystem services in the context of climate change. Accordingly, the specific objectives of the project are to support the integration of ecosystem-based adaptation to climate change adaptation to the process of planning biodiversity conservation in Vietnam; build a province-level EBA biodiversity conservation planning; enhance EBA knowledge and experience for Vietnamese and Swedish partners to improve biodiversity management in the context of climate change.

 

The project will be implemented from June 2012 to December 2013.
