VND5,863 Bln for Environmental Improvement in 2012 - 2015

The Prime Minister recently approved the National Target Programme for addressing environmental pollution and improving environment in the 2012 - 2015 period. The programme aims to deal with environmental pollution and improve the environment in 47 seriously environment-contaminated villages.

 

The programme will reform and restore the environment in 100 area seriously polluted areas caused by pesticide chemical residues. It will eye installing wastewater collection and treatment facilities in three big river basins, namely the Nhue River, Cau River and Dong Nai River systems. It will guide ways of handling pollution and improving the environment in target villages and areas.

 

The national target programme is estimated to cost VND5,863 billion in total to overcome pollution and improve environment from 2012 to 2015.
