Vietnam Ranked Top 5 FutureGov Awards

The Vietnam Environment Administration (VEA) has been informed by the Organisation Board for FutureGov Awards that the project "Strengthening IT applications to serve management and operating activities at the Vietnam Environment Administration” has passed preliminary qualifying round to the shortlist of five, with three highly being awarded.

 

The project has helped VEA build and improve its IT systems, including the upgrading of old website into an electronic information portal (VEA Portal) with contents updated in five languages of Vietnamese, English, French, Chinese and Spanish and introduction of legal software for paperwork management.

 

FutureGov Award is the only in the world today to honour organisations, projects, and programmes in public administration and service fields in the Asia-Pacific region, aiming to recognise successful reforms and renovations in the public sector. In 2011, the Department of Information and Communications of Danang City was officially awarded the prestigious “ASEAN Public Sector Organization of the Year 2011” - the only award in ASEAN countries. This was the first time a Vietnamese organisation to win this award.
