VCCI Golf Challenge 2012’s Successful Round 1 Celebrated Vietnam’s Entrepreneur Day

With three divisions for the men and one division for the ladies to win prizes in 8 categories, the first round of the annual series has brought together officials from State organizations, representatives from both local and international businesses who played golf & networked off the course.

Mr. Park Jin Young won the Champion Cup with the best gross score of 74. Other winners in Division A, B, and Ladies’ division respectively are: Mr. Nguyen Huy Tu, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hung and Ms. Nguyen Van Anh. The event also awarded individuals in 3 technical categories of Nearest-to-pin, Nearest-to-line and Longest drive. The event concluded with an elegant Gala Dinner including the award presentation, lucky draw and golfers sharing their experience of the day.

The organizer of VGC 2012 took this occasion to continue the tradition of supporting the community by launching a charity fund called “Golf with a Heart” where benefactors donate to the victims of recent floods in the Central provinces. Cash donations are accepted presently until Round 2, when fund will be released and used for purchasing food & necessities for the flood victims.

Round 2 of the VCCI Golf Challenge 2012 will be held on 01 December 2012 at King’s Island Golf Course in Dong Mo, themed “Business Networking and International Integration” in order to celebrate 40 years of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and many partner countries in 2013. The event will continue to receive support from ANZ Bank (Par Sponsor), Attivo International and DB Schenker Vietnam (Supporting sponsors), Norfolk Clothing Company (official T-shirt sponsor), Diamond World and CityGolf (Hole-in-One sponsors) and other in-kind sponsors.

The VCCI Golf Challenge, formerly The Entrepreneur Cup, is an annual golf tournament hosted by VCCI as part of the networking activities for the business community since 2005. After 7 years of development, the VCCI Golf Challenge has become not only a major golf event but also an effective channel for businesspeople to widen their networks, exchange opportunities as well as showcase and leverage their brands/products.
