The Vietnam - Romania Business Forum will be opened at the earliest time, heard the meeting between VCCI President Vu Tien Loc and Mr Valeriu Arteni, Romanian charge d'affaires, on the latter’s working visit to the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI).

Dr Vu Tien Loc said trade and economic cooperation relationship between the two countries has continuously developed in recent years, bringing up the two-way trade turnover. Vietnam and Romania has potential for cooperation in many aspects and their markets are mutually complementary.

Mr Valeriu Arteni said Romania has strengths in oil and gas, petrochemical, architecture, construction, healthcare, agro-processing and other fields and has the demand for importing tropical products and consumer goods from Vietnam. However, they currently import through third countries.

He suggested the two sides organise the Vietnam - Romania Business Forum for businesses of the two countries to have the opportunity to meet and seek cooperation opportunities.

Agreeing on that proposal, Dr Loc said VCCI would organise the Vietnam - Romania Business Forum at the earliest time.
