VCCI Golf Challenge 2012 Successfully Concludes

The VCCI Golf Challenge 2012 hosted by Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) concluded the second round which is also the last round of this year on December 1, 2012.

Continuing the success in the first event, the second round received great support from golfers and business community who came and battled it out on 18 holes of Chi Linh Star Golf & Country Club (Hai Duong).

At the end of the competition day, there were 11 major titles awarded to the best golfers of 03 divisions. Notably, Round 2 of VCCI Golf Challenge 2012 recorded admirable performance of golfer Park Jin Young, who was honored as the Champion of Champions for the second time with the gross score of 77. With the best gross scores in both rounds, the Korean businessman has become the absolute winner in this year tournament.

Other winners in Division A, B, C and Ladies’ division respectively are: Mr. Vu Dinh Lua, Mr. Nguyen Hong Thai and Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong.

The VCCI Golf Challenge 2012 was concluded in a warm and friendly environment with meaningful activities during the Gala Dinner. Besides the lucky draws and the networking dinner, the organizers and the sponsor Norfolk Clothing Company offered golfers a chance to contribute to the “Golf with a Heart” charitable fund by purchasing official shirts of the tournament. Together with the shirts sales, the amount of more than VND 50 million collected during this year tournament will be awarded to Tho Lap Kindergarten, Tho Lap ward, Tho Xuan district, Thanh Hoa province which was heavily damaged by the recent flood. This money will be used to purchase warm clothes for the students and other necessary teaching facilities for the school.

The VCCI Golf Challenge 2012 received support from ANZ Bank (Par Sponsor), Attivo International and DB Schenker Vietnam (Supporting sponsors), Norfolk Clothing Company (official T-shirt sponsor), Diamond World and CityGolf (Hole-in-One sponsors) and other in-kind sponsors.

The VCCI Golf Challenge, formerly The Entrepreneur Cup, is an annual golf tournament hosted by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) as part of the networking activities for the business community since 2005. After 7 years of development, the VCCI Golf Challenge has become not only a major golf event but also an effective channel for businesspeople to widen their networks, exchange opportunities as well as showcase and leverage their brands/products.
