Trade Opportunities Opened for Vietnamese and Thai Businesses
To promote trade relations and facilitate business exchanges between Vietnam and Thailand, the Ho Chi Minh City Branch of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI -HCM) collaborated with the Board of Investment of Thailand (BOI) to organise the “Vietnam - Thailand Business Exchange” on December 7, 2012. Some 30 Thai companies engaged in such industries as pharmaceuticals, food, steel, auto components, motorcycle parts, household utensil and industrial equipment, attended the meeting in Ho Chi Minh City.
Mr Nguyen The Hung, Deputy Director of VCCI-HCM, said trade relations between Vietnam and Thailand are bolstered constantly and have greatly expanded. Business communities of the two countries are closer in the wake of exchanges, meetings and partner seeking in various fields, especially in trade and investment.
Thai representatives said Vietnam is a stable, large-scale and high potential market for economic development. Especially, in recent years, despite economic volatility, Vietnam has maintained high economic growth, thus becoming an ideal destination for investors. During this trip, Thai visitors expect to find potential business partners to expand investment and establish long-term cooperation.
