Promoting Economic and Investment Cooperation between Vietnam and Georgia

On March 7, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Mr David Jalagania, had a meeting with VCCI Vice President Doan Duy Khuong to exchange views in economic, trade and investment cooperation issues. , had a meeting with VCCI Vice President Doan Duy Khuong to exchange views in economic, trade and investment cooperation issues.
According to Mr David Jalagania, both Vietnam and Georgia possess important geographic positions in the world, abundant, valuable natural resources and key industries of oil and gas, industrial products, food processing, and others. The two countries have good cooperation relations for many years, however, these advantages have not been fully taken, he said.
 
VCCI Vice President, Dr Doan Duy Khuong, appreciated the high economic growth of Georgia in recent years, and hoped that the Governments of the two countries will create a favorable legal framework to support comprehensive cooperation relations, from the Government to Government and from businesses to businesses. 
 
Dr Khuong agreed with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs that the first activities to enhance the bilateral cooperation will focus on organizing trade missions and business forums, fairs and exhibitions, exchanging information of macro economy, industries, investment environment, and others.
