On April 29 – 30, in addition to the annual International Fireworks Competition themed “Love for the Han River”, Danang will introduce many attractive activities to draw visitors to the city.
Danang International Fireworks Competition will officially open on the night of April 29th by the Han River and feature the participation of 5 countries: Russia (Khan Firework Centre), the US (Melrose Pyrotechnics company), Japan (Tamaya Kitahara Fireworks Co.), Italy (Parente Fireworks) and host team Danang.
The Danang City Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced that besides splendid fireworks performances, on this occasion, visitors will have a chance to enjoy 20 flower boats and thousands of flower garlands drifting on the fanciful Han River. There are expected to be about 34,000 seats from A – C – B stands and hundreds of seats on boats on the river for people to enjoy fireworks. The price for seats on stands ranges from VND200,000 – 400,000/person/night.
Also on this occasion, the visitors and city residents will be able to enjoy many street activities such as: tourism pedicab parade on Saturday nights (April 14th - 30th) on the city’s main roads; Street music performances on the west bank of the Han River; Book Day in the Museum of Cham Sculpture (April 27th-30th); International Cuisine Culture Day – Taste of Life (April 28th – 30th); the show Vietnam’s Colours (“Lung linh sac Viet”) (April 28th) in Tien Son Sport Stadium; and a beach sports performance in Pham Van Dong Park.
Besides traditional tours like coral sea diving in Son Tra Peninsula area and fishing with farmers, journeys through famed sites of Hue – Danang – Hoi An, in 2013, Danang City Tourism will develop new tourism products such as inaugurating the 3rd cable car in Ba Na which is entitled with 4 world’s records; visit to the world’s largest Fire Iron Dragon; and surfing on Luong Duong Falls in Hoa Phu Thanh.
To serve visitors coming to Danang on Reunion Day this year, Danang city has made great efforts in upgrading tourism infrastructure over the past time. Especially, there have been many international flights exploited to connect Danang to Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Seoul, Hong Kong, etc, making it convenient for international tourists to visit Danang.
