ACCA Vietnam Admits 123 New Members

ACCA Vietnam on April 24 organised New Member Ceremony 2013 to celebrate the acceptance of 123 new ACCA members from across the country, who have attained membership from 31 March 2012 to 31 March 2013.

 

These new members are part of the vibrant ACCA community globally which now consists of more than 154,000 members in 170 countries.

 

Mr Stephen Heathcote, Executive Director, Markets, ACCA, says: “This is an important event marking the increase of international qualified finance professionals in Vietnam. The ACCA qualification and their delivery are ensured to meet the diverse needs of trainee professionals and their employers as well as be open for certified accountants in developing countries. I believe ACCA is the most suitable international qualification in the socio-economic – politic conditions and education system in Vietnam. And ACCA members are the complete finance professionals who play a major role and bring value to business.” 

 

On this special occasion, ACCA Vietnam presents Global and National Approved Employers’ certifications to Vinacapital Group, Ecovis STT Vietnam, KTC, TNK Vietnam B.V., KCS Vietnam and DTL who through accredited learning and development systems, support the development of ACCA professionals. This means that Approved Employers’ finance and accounting employees who are registered as students with ACCA will receive valuable support to help them successfully complete the ACCA examinations and gain practical experience that enables them to acquire the range of competencies required of finance and accounting professionals in business today.

 

In recent years, ACCA students and members in Vietnam have rapidly increased, from 100 students and 11 members in early 2002 to more than 5,500 students and more than 500 members in Vietnam to date.
