BlueScope Steel Markets Colour-coating Steel

On October 19, BlueScope Steel group (Australia) launched a new product in the Vietnamese marketplace. Clean COLORBOND colour-coated steel has properties such as infra-red reflection and heat-insulation, improving its thermal efficiency and saving on cooling costs. The product is also dust and erosion resistant. Advanced technology employed in its manufacture makes the paint long lasting, requiring little maintenance or replacement. The product is most suitable for high quality projects.

BlueScope Steel started operating in Vietnam in 1994 with factories in Bien Hoa and Ha Tay. A new plant for metal-coating steel is being built in Phu My IZ 1 (Ba ria - Vung tau) with total investment capital of AUD$160 million, to be completed by 2006 with a production line capacity of 125,000 tonnes/year of metal-coating and 50,000 tonnes/year of colour-coating and a cutting and rolling production line of 15,000 tonnes/year.
