New Generation Nouvo: New Product for the Southeast Asian Market in 2005

Yamaha Motor Vietnam on April 30, 2004 held a press conference in Hanoi to launch the "New Generation Nouvo", part of the company’s programme to launch the new-generation Nouvo motorbike in Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia.

Yamaha Motor Vietnam released the first Nouvo in 2002. This bike combined the best features of regular motorbikes with those of scooters. In 2003, Yamaha Motors presented the “Mio” into the Vietnam market. Nouvo is well known for its driving comfort over long journeys while Mio is favoured for its flexibility in city driving.

To meet the increasing needs of the local market, Yamaha Motor Vietnam released the New-Generation Nouvo - a product with outstanding improvements based on the most advanced technologies - manufactured by engineers of Yamaha Motor Japan for the Southeast Asia market in 2005. The New-Generation Nouvo, which has a four-stroke engine, one cylinder, automatic gearbox, and a special air cooling system, is very convenient and economical to use. The 2005 Nouvo model also boasts a completely new exterior to the previous Nouvo.

Yamaha Motor Vietnam was established in 1998 with its headquarters located in Soc Son District in Hanoi. The company’s revenues have risen sharply in recent years, and it has affirmed its foothold in Vietnam’s motorbike market.
