The 10th Vietnam International Woodworking Industry Fair (Vietnamwood 2013) is set to take place at the Saigon Exhibition & Convention Centre (SECC), District 7, Ho Chi Minh City from September 25 to 28, 2013.
The biennial fair aims to introduce latest woodworking developments, including woodworking machinery, accessories, parts, logs, adhesives, dust processing and cleaning systems, software, tools, services and others.
Vietnamwood 2013 will bring together more than 260 exhibitors from 19 countries and territories in the world such as Austria, Belgium, China, Denmark, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, the United States, and Vietnam. With more than 500 booths, Vietnamwood 2013 will introduce a range of industrial, technological products and services, including machinery and raw materials for manufacturing lumber, veneer, particle, MDF, OSB, LVL, plywood and panel products.
The fair has the participation of many federations and associations like European Federation of Woodworking Machinery Manufacturers (EUMABOIS), the German Engineering Federation (VDMA), the Italian Woodworking Machinery and Tool Manufacturers Association (ACIMALL), the Taiwan Woodworking Machinery Association (TWMA), and the American Hardwood Export Council (AHEC).
Many reputable Vietnamese businesses also register to exhibit Vietnamwood 2013, including Thuan Hien Co., Ltd, Quoc Duy Development Services and Production Col., Ltd, and Vetta Company.
According to the Handicraft and Wood Industry Association of Ho Chi Minh City (HAWA), with the potential and ambitions of the Vietnamese wood industry, Vietnamwood 2013 will serve as an important bridge for suppliers of machinery and equipment and woodwork manufacturers. It will also create an opportunity for suppliers to grasp requirements of manufacturers and an opportunity for Vietnamese wood processing industry to access advanced equipment and technology.
Speaking at the press conference on July 23, an official from the Forest Products Association of Binh Dinh pledged to mobilise its members and woodwork companies in Binh Dinh province to take part in the event.
Vietnamwood 2013 is organised by Vietnam National Trade Fair and Advertising Company (Vinexad), Chan Chao International Co., Ltd, Yorkers Trade & Marketing Service Co., Ltd, Paper Communication Exhibition Service Company, the Handicraft and Wood Industry Association of Ho Chi Minh City (HAWA), the Forest Products Association of Binh Dinh (FPA Binh Dinh), the Binh Duong Furniture Association (BIFA). The event is sponsored by the European Federation of Woodworking Machinery Manufacturers (Eumabois).
