Shipbuilding Technology Partnership Company (STC), established on June 15, 2000, specialises in advising research and design, transferring shipbuilding science and technology, organising workshops, training and developing on-site human resources, supplying and consolidating information systems, radio electronics, maritime facilities and maritime safety, and importing equipment.
 
After 13 years of construction and development, the company’s management has built a path of development for a science-specific company, with short, medium and long-term plans. Currently, the company is focusing the power of intelligence of scientists at universities, research institutes and centres like the University of Technology, Maritime University, and Shipbuilding Research Institute. Particularly, the company has international relationships with more than 10 foreign electronic companies like Lilley Gillie of the United Kingdom and KBC of Japan.
 
Knowing its science-specific operations, right from the very start, the company’s leadership has drawn out the potential and brainpower of all employees and applying satisfactory, appropriate policies for using knowledge and intelligence from engineers and scientists at various universities. Besides, the firm has sent its staff to foreign institutes for continued study. To date, 26 full-time employees and 200 seasonal employees have accelerated the sustainable development of science and technology and improved the quality of shipbuilding scientific and technological products. The company's products have increased safety for ships and men working offshore on domestic and international waters.
 
STC General Director Nguyen Nam Tuan said: Defining product quality as vital to survival, STC always updates information on science technology to better serve the requirements of domestic and international partners and encourages employees to make more efforts to raise the quality of products to boost the trust of customers. While strengthening relationships with traditional customers, the company actively seeks new customers in order to boost business development. In 2013, the firm hopes to pay more taxes to the State Budget and better living conditions for employees.
 
With its significant contributions to overall economic development, STC has been honoured by the Prime Minister and other State agencies. Specifically, the company has received three certificates of merit from the Prime Minister and many certificates of merit and emulation flags from the Hai Phong Party Committee, Hai Phong People's Committee, and Hai Phong Labour Union. Besides, Mr Nguyen Nam Tuan was given the "Kindness, Talent, Intelligence and Courage" Cup and his name was recorded in the Hall of Fame of Entrepreneurs following Uncle Ho’s words.
