Petrol Retailers Not Quoting Selling Prices Face Fines of VND10 Million

Retail petroleum filling stations will face a fine of VND5 - 10 million from October 10, 2013 if they do not quote selling prices, quote wrong prices, or quote unclear and confusing prices, according to the Decree 97/2013/ND-CP dated August 27, 2013.
 
If they change retail prices of petroleum prices before the time fixed by competent regulators, they will be imposed a fine of VND10-20 million. They will also be levied a fine of VND3 - 5 million if their employees are not trained of safety, fire prevention and environmental techniques. The fine of VND5-10 million will be imposed if they sell petroleum products in a place rather than the registered address in the certification. The fine will be VND20-30 million if they lack compliance certificate for petroleum business.
 
Specially, this decree sets a maximum fine of VND1 billion on individuals for infringement of territorial waters, contiguous zones, exclusive economic zones and continental shelf of Vietnam to research, explore and exploit oil and gas.
